Mission, Philosophy and SLEs
St. Anthony lays the crucial foundation for faith, school connectedness and academic excellence from kindergarten through 8th grade. Connecting students to school is important at all grade levels and especially leading up to the adolescent years. Reports suggest that engagement drops as students age because older students feel less cared for by adults and see less value in their work. At St. Anthony, teachers and staff demonstrate care for student learning as well as students as individuals, knowing each by name and need.
St. Anthony Catholic School is a diverse community that promotes the dignity and respect of all people in the teachings of the Catholic Church and prepares students to be faith-filled individuals, responsible citizens and lifelong learners.
Standard of Learning Expectations
Our mission is fulfilled when students are connected to the adults, institutions, and experiences needed to develop the knowledge, skills, maturity, and sense of purpose required to live meaningful lives as adults through the lense of Love, Learn, Serve. St. Anthony students graduate with an ability to:
Solve conflict peacefully, show compassion, be kind, honest, and polite.
Look for ways to serve others, engage in liturgy and prayer, follow Jesus’ call by responding to the needs in our community.
Show growth in learning, communicate effectively through writing, speaking, and listening. Use strategies to reach goals and problem solve, work well in groups and alone, engage creatively and physically.
